FAQ's
How many photos do I get?
All of them. If I feel like it’s a good photo, it’s yours. I understand that a variety of angles, light, and some posing is necessary to make everyone happy. On average, a wedding ends up being 1,100-1500 photos, while any other shoot hits at around 400.
Can you help with our day-of schedule?
Yes, I even draft your wedding timeline for you based on what’s important to you and your partner and knowing how long each event generally takes.
How do you deliver our photos?
Weddings are delivered on a USB in the beautifully crafted wooden keepsake ‘album’ boxes filled with printed goodies that my husband makes. All clients also receive a link to their own personal online gallery. Plus, I release printing rights for every type of session (print to your heart’s content!). I also don’t mind at all if you share with friends and family.
Will you travel?
Hell yeah. I’ve done several weddings both state-side and abroad. Be sure to contact me for a breakdown of destination pricing.
Do you have a specific second shooter that you work closely with?
I have a few fellow photog friends that I can absolutely rely on should you want a second shooter. However, it is not always necessary. You can bet I will be present for every shot.
What equipment do you use?
Canon R5 and Mark IV (dual slots), as well as several backup cameras, flashes, and a fleet of L-series lenses.
How long have you been shooting weddings?
Since 2014, baby. Happy 10 (almost 11) years to me!
Are you insured?
Absolutely. If your venue requires proof, just let me know.
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
Heck. Freaking. Yeah. Love is love and that’s all there is to it.
Your destination packages included travel fees…are there any other separate hidden fees?
Nope. None. I write up that contract with travel fees and anything else you may want included, then I send it over for signing. It ain’t changing.
Should I do a first look?
This question is schedule and couple-dependant, but my general answer is yes. Time of year and intended schedule tend to influence my answer. A first look will always help the schedule move smoothly and allow you to really enjoy your reception later without feeling the pull of time. However, if you have a summer wedding with an 8:30 sunset, that’s plenty of time to get portraits should you decide against a first look.
What’s one piece of advice you have for couples?
Hire a day-of coordinator. You want someone to keep things on time. I do my best to help, but it’s nice to know someone else has your back if things start going astray.
How would you describe your style of photography?
FUN. My style tends to take on the personalities of the couples, individuals, or families I’m with. I shift between bright and jovial and the dark and moody. You can bet that each photo will be sharp and filled with vivid color, though. I love utilizing an editorial approach once you feel comfortable, but I’m also constantly observing and getting the candid stuff too.
Do you have a list of testimonials?
Heck yeah. Check them out here.
Do you offer mentor sessions?
You betcha. You can learn more about them on the branding page here.
Do you sell your wedding guidebook separately from your packages?
While I’m honored when anyone asks for a copy, my guidebook was a huge labor of love written exclusively for my couples. In short, it’s part of my ‘luxury’ and intentional service that I offer to my couples only. And, in order to honor the vendor promotions in the back of the book, I am reluctant to hand it out to just anyone. However, I recently wrote a guidebook specific to planning Microweddings that I plan to publish and sell soon.
When it comes to branding and web design, how does this work?
We meet in person or over a video call so I can catch your vibe and talk about the different options. If you decide to book, there’s an extensive questionnaire and branding process that I walk you through, and by the end of it, you have a honed brand and a beautiful new website to show off.
